POCATELLO — Idaho Central Credit Union has developed a program to help with the down payments associated with purchasing a first home. Their mortgage department partnered with NeighborWorks Pocatello to help first-time, low-income borrowers in 2022.

This loan allows members the ability to combine ICCU grant funds with other down payment assistance programs. Recipients of this loan are chosen based on income eligibility from NeighborWorks and Idaho Housing. ICCU has a strong relationship with NeighborWorks Pocatello and is excited to bring this new opportunity to residents in East Idaho.

This loan is intended to ease the initial cost required in the down payment when purchasing a home. ICCU recognizes that today's market can be challenging and prioritizes helping its members achieve financial success, which can come with the stability of owning a home.

"We've been looking for over three years and have always been a step or two behind the market," said Alyssa, first recipient of the ICCU Down Payment Loan. "It is such a huge blessing in our lives to have found this program and to be able to actually make homeownership a reality."
