Local clean connoisseur Don Aslett is turning 87, and the Museum of Clean is hosting a birthday party for him next Saturday, July 23, that’s open to the public.
Aslett will be at the Museum of Clean on South Second Avenue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 23 to greet people as they enjoy entertainment and refreshments in celebration of his birthday. This will be the first birthday party the museum has hosted for Aslett, its founder.
In addition to chatting with people in attendance, Aslett said he’s going to be answering questions he’s gotten over the years, like “Why does Don have 300 Christmas trees in Sun Valley, Idaho?” and “What kind of vacuum” does he use?
“I’ll be around for people who want to get pictures with me and talk. Who knows if I’ll make it to 88,” Aslett said. “So, I thought, ‘You know what, let’s do this.’”
Aslett will also be giving away copies of his books at his birthday party. He said he’s excited to see people from the community and he hopes there’s a good turnout.
For more information about the party, call the Museum of Clean at 208-236-6906.
