The Pocatello Arts Council is inviting local artists and community members to have their voice heard on art not just in Pocatello but around The Gem State.

From 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Pocatello City Council Chambers, 911 N. Seventh Ave., the group will host a regional planning meeting of the Idaho Commission on the Arts. Michael Faison, executive director, and Juta Geurtsen, community development director, with the commission will facilitate the discussion and ask the question, “What do you need for your town and region to thrive artistically?”

“This is an opportunity for local arts organizations and individual artists to interact with representatives from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and to learn about the excellent grant opportunities available to them,” said Mark Cooper, Chair of the Pocatello Arts Council.
