Idaho State received votes in the first STATS FCS media poll of the season, released Monday.

The Bengals earned five points in the top-25 poll, making them one of seven Big Sky Conference squads to receive votes.

Defending national runner-up Eastern Washington led the Big Sky in fourth and received three first-place votes. UC Davis (fifth), Weber State (eighth), Montana State (14th) and Montana (25th) represented the league in the top 25.

Northern Arizona also received votes, but was not ranked.

Northern Iowa (18th) earned a spot in the poll, giving ISU four opponents that are ranked in the preseason poll.
