A juvenile passenger was killed in a crash on Robie Creek Road northeast of Boise Saturday night when a wasp flew into the vehicle, according to Idaho State Police.

A juvenile was driving west in a 2004 Dodge Neon at about 6 p.m. Saturday, roughly two miles west of state Highway 21 on Robie Creek Road, when a wasp flew into the car, according to police. The car went off the roadway and overturned into Robie Creek, where it was partially submerged.

The juvenile passenger died at the scene. Family has been notified.

Both the driver and passenger were wearing seat belts, police say.
