BOISE — What happens in Vegas can be accessed directly from Boise, and soon via another airline provider.

Frontier Airlines on Tuesday announced a direct flight that will be offered from Boise to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas beginning Sept. 10. The flight will be offered four times per week, and tickets purchased by June 16 will be offered for as low as $49. More information on the promotional offer is available online at news.flyfrontier.com.

“We are delighted to announce this new service to Vegas, offering high-value travel to another popular tourist destination from Boise,” Josh Flyr, Frontier Airlines’ vice president of network and operations design, said in a news release. “We are laser-focused on redefining what consumers can expect from low-fare travel — from our expansive network map to the premium upgrades we offer — and we look forward to welcoming passengers on board our new flights to Vegas starting in September.”

Frontier joins Alaska and Southwest airlines in offering direct flights from Boise to Vegas. Frontier last year also launched a direct route from Boise to Denver.

The direct flight is one of the Boise Airport’s 28 nonstop options.
