The 29th annual Mountain Brewers Beer Fest will be held this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.  at the Sandy Downs in Idaho Falls, with over 100 breweries expected to be in attendance from across the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West.

Delicious dark malts, light citrus-tinged wheat ales, crispy carbonated seltzers, robust full-flavored ambers and a bountiful assembly of other beers will be available from over 100 brewers in attendance at the Mountain Brewers Beer Fest.

For the entirety of this week leading up to the festival, a collective of breweries that include Payette Brewing, Meriwether Cider and Firestone Walker will be featured at locations like Tap-N-Fill, The Celt and Bardoza’s Taphouse, allowing area locals to taste test a few offerings from some of their favorite breweries before the official festivities begin.

In addition to the hundreds of beers available for sampling, there will be live music provided by the Two Bald Guys band, fun gift basket packages and prizes offered through a raffle and silent auction and an assortment of food vendors that include Cousin’s Maine Lobster, BJ’s Bayou, Blackrock and many others.

All guests must be age 21 or older to attend with a valid photo identification. Tickets through May 31 are $40 with online tickets purchased on June 1 costing $50. There will be no gate sales for tickets available on the day of the event. No outside food or beverages, coolers, chairs, pets, umbrellas or pop-ups are permitted.

Brewers near and far will be able to submit their staple beers and ciders to the North American Brewers Association International Beer Awards where their products will be evaluated by qualified judges against some of the best beers, ciders, meads and sodas in the country.

Many of the proceeds for the event will be donated to various nonprofits and charities like Breaking Boundaries, Art Museum of Eastern Idaho, Hospice of Eastern Idaho and others.

Greater Idaho Falls Transit, or GIFT, will be providing free shuttles from participating locations through Teton Stage Lines beginning at 10:45 a.m.
