• PTSD/TBI and Suicide Awareness Day with Puppy Kissing Booth will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today on the upper Hutchison Quadrangle. Participants can learn about how people and animals can support those in our community struggling with post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and suicide. Participants can come play with puppies and other PTSD companion animals visiting from Snake River Doodles and Pocatello Animal Services.

• The Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting at Harrington & Company, 2929 Poleline Road, at noon today.

• There will be several City Council meetings today. The City Council will hold an executive session at 1 p.m., followed by a liaison/work session clarification meeting at 2 p.m. and a clarification meeting at 5:30 p.m., all in the Paradice Conference Room at Pocatello City Hall. Then the regular City Council meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

• There will be a Humanities Cafe presentation about “Pocatello, the Portneuf, and Urban Rivers” with presentations by Kevin Marsh, Colden Baxter and Hannah Sanger today at Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. First Ave. in Pocatello. Free appetizers will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the presentations begin at 6 p.m.

• Walk With Christ, a spiritual journey of the life of Christ, will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today and Friday and from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pocatello Alameda Stake of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 930 E. Alameda Road. Entrance and parking are on the north side of the building. Narration, live actors and music create a moving experience as visitors walk through rooms beautifully transformed to depict events in the life of Jesus. The journey takes about one hour, and light refreshments will be served. Admission is free.

• The Lego Movie 2 plays at 7 p.m. today and at 7 and 9:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Bengal Theater at ISU’s Pond Student Union. Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff and children under 12, and free for ISU student with Bengal ID.

• ISU’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Shakespeare in Love” today, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Stephens Performing Arts Center’s Bistline Theatre. • Kappa Sigma Ride for the Troops will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday on the Hutchinson Quadrangle at ISU. The Kappa Sigma Fraternity will start its 24-hour bike ride, which raises funds for Fisher House, a facility which supports veterans and their families who need extended services at VA hospitals. There will be food and live music to kick off this event.

• The Portneuf Valley Audubon Society will host its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Friday at the Marshall Public Library Community Room. Members and guests are encourage to bring a memory stick loaded with about 10 photos of their favorite birds. It’s a chance to share stories of great birding in Southeast Idaho and areas beyond.
