The Jason Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Blackfoot is holding its annual bazaar fundraiser this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 168 S. University.

The bazaar consists of a craft show and a celebrated all-you-can-eat lunch. For $12, you have the choice(s) of 21 kinds of homemade salad and four kinds of homemade pie — apple, cherry, pumpkin and pecan — and a drink.

A local contributor, Dick Stroh, will have his homemade ice cream, toppings and jams for sale, and there will be other baked goods and candy for sale as well.

The women of UMC are also selling homemade horseradish, which they recently gathered to make. It takes a lot of work to turn the root vegetable into a spicy condiment, so they are limiting how many jars each person can purchase.

Be prepared for an afternoon of oohing and ahhing over homemade crafts and decorations, and sampling each pie or salad. Also, be prepared with cash or checks to purchase items or lunch.

Surrounded by an abundance of foods and gift options, you might think you are getting the full bazaar experience — but not quite. What isn’t mentioned very often, and what completes the bazaar, is that the church is fundraising for local nonprofits, such as SEICCA, The Village, the Senior Center, and the Bingham Crisis Center.

After all, ‘tis the season of giving.

The church will also be opening the pre-sale of its 2026 devotional book — “365 Verses to Illuminate Your Day and Bless Your Soul,” lovingly written by members of Jason Lee Memorial Church. Don’t miss your chance to reserve a copy.
