Pocatello’s Center Street was the hub of the city in 1916, seen here from the top of the viaduct. The viaduct, constructed in 1911 to provide easier access across the railroad tracks, was eventually replaced with the underpass in the early 1930s.
The prominent structure to the right with the word “Sweet’s” on the side is the Monarch Building.
