Woman suffers possible spinal injuries in bicycle crash

A woman suffered possible spinal injuries on Thursday night when she crashed her bicycle on a road south of Pocatello. She was transported via ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center but a condition update on her is not yet available.

POCATELLO — A woman suffered possible spinal injuries when she crashed her bicycle south of Pocatello on Thursday night.

The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on Corral Creek Road near Mink Creek Road.

It's unclear what caused the woman to crash but authorities said she suffered possible spinal injuries during the incident. Her name has not been released.

The woman was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. Authorities said she was conscious and breathing upon arrival at the hospital but an update on her condition is not yet available.

Also responding to the incident were Bannock County sheriff's deputies and Bannock County Search and Rescue personnel.
