The Westside Players will perform “Silent Sky” on Friday and Saturday. Set at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s, this true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries. The second annual Spring Soiree will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Pine Ridge Mall in Chubbuck. There will be more than 50 small business vendors.

Manic Mechanic, 450 N. Main St. in Pocatello, will host its third annual customer appreciation barbecue from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Meet the mechanics, tour the shop and eat hotdogs, chips and drinks while supplies last.

There will be a DJ to get you out on the dance floor downstairs and a live band upstairs.
