The Idaho State women's basketball team defeated the South Dakota School of Mines, 68-46, in an exhibition game on Friday in Reed Gym.

The Bengals led the Hardrockers 38-24 at halftime. Idaho State shot 60 percent from the 3-point line in the first half, with Dora Goles and Montana Oltrogge each making three in the first 20 minutes. Diaba Konate scored eight points in the first half, while Ellie Smith and Callie Bourne had four rebounds apiece.

Idaho State led by as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter en route to the 22-point victory.

Oltrogge led the Bengals with 17 points, going 6 for 8 from the field and 3 for 4 from the 3-point arc, while adding six rebounds. Konate finished with 16 points, shooting 7 for 13. Goles went 3 for 6 on 3s in her first game since 2017, and also recorded four rebounds and three steals.

Defensively, ISU forced 25 turnovers, leading to 19 of its 68 points. Callie Bourne tallied four steals and seven rebounds and Konate added four steals to her stat line.

Idaho State opens its season Tuesday against Arizona Christian at reed Gym.
