A Bible description of a man, “A worthless person, a wicked man, Is one who walks with a perverse mouth, Who winks with his eyes, who signaled with his feet, who points with his fingers, Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, who spreads strife. Therefore his calamity will come suddenly: Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.” NewAmerican Standard Bible. The New King James Version is the same except for, “ he shuffles with his feet…he sows discord…Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly, suddenly he shall be broken without remedy” This description comes from Proverbs 6: 12-15 and seems to have painted a picture of our 45th President.

I have to admit that I did not discover this verse on my own and in so saying I have to give credit to two very vigilant believers in the Word of God from our Baptist Congregation. Many of the President’s supporters I’m sure would disagree with this observation and blame it on President Obama as he was thought by many detractors to be a Muslim bent on the destruction of America. However, the former President seems to be enjoying his out of office pursuits with the same zeal he displayed while in office with no schemes to disarm Americans.

Why, you might ask is this pertinent to the current state of affairs in the United States and the events that now face our fractured nation? Well, the description is of an evil man who never stops his rampage on truth and justice and he exults himself, his family and associates above all others and finds himself superior to his fellow citizens because he is the President of the United States of America. However, not known to all, the man who continually shuffles his narrative has a history of this behavior because of his monetary status and because of who he is. There is a scripture that is written in 1st Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Those individuals who support and even worship our President seem to have a blind spot in their view of his actions. In Biblical terms they are being pulled by a ‘hook in their jaw’ by this man into his spiral of hate and violence targeted at certain populations which have been traditionally depressed for economic reasons since the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. So all that is occurring through the signaling that comes from our President has an evil purpose that many have again embraced as the heritage that is their America. The events of the past including enslaving people for monetary gain was a sin again at the outset of our founding as it is now. The genie has been let out of the bottle normalizing discrimination of individuals based on their ethnicity, even though their skill levels exceed those of their white counter parts, even in the NFL. The team owners have chosen to punish a successful protesting of the murder of black, brown, red and yellow men, women, boys and girls by a police force that had been maintained to for just that purpose. This is the curse that America entered into when the founding fathers decided the South couldn’t survive without a heartless system of labor, terror and subjugation that was specific to Southern American slavery. A history that has never left the country’s conscious nor those who would continue a status quo that was thought long vanquished through the years. Abolishing an ungodly institution fighting for equal accommodation, voting and Civil Rights is the heritage of the oppressed people of America.

The one thing that brings the above verses into focus is that this man has spoken against the creed and writings established by those who created the American Democracy we struggle to hold onto. He has brought distress to other nations be they friend or foe and has without forethought or reason put enmity between those who would be allied in a struggle for safety and peace. This description can also be found in Revelation 16: 13-16,“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I am coming as a thief, Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and see his shame. And that gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.”

Many would say that this man is sane with the love of his country in mind while others would find him insane and not worthy of the office he holds. Whatever the outcome we need to draw closer to the principles of freedom, justice and the seemingly forgotten American way. And be prayerful that our Merciful Creator will spare those who see prophesy and understand that love and peace is our only solution to the chaos we now experience.
