Chevy Traverse

A 2009 Chevy Traverse was fished out of Foster Reservoir Saturday by Franklin County Search & Rescue.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Saturday, Aug. 26, that a vehicle had entered Foster Reservoir.

Jeremy Chatterley had exited his vehicle to help his wife, Lacey. But he only got the vehicle into neutral, not park.

The 2009 Chevy Traverse simply rolled into the reservoir and sunk. There were no occupants in the car.

Franklin County Search and Rescue was called to help locate the vehicle and Boyd Burbank, a member of the unit, spent an hour looking for it in the murky waters, said his son, TJ Burbank.

After a couple more hours of determining the best way to connect to the vehicle, it was pulled out, upside down.

Spatig’s Towing pulled the vehicle from the water. It was considered a total loss.
