American Falls Police Chief Brandon Wilkinson says Miranda Corene Royer has been found safe on her own free will in New York. He appreciates the assistance of law enforcement agencies in that area, including the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Syracuse Police Department and New York State Police.

AMERICAN FALLS — The American Falls Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a local woman who is missing.

Miranda Corene Royer, also known as Miranda Grant, was last seen on Jan. 9 and was last heard from on Jan. 11, said American Falls Police Chief Brandon Wilkinson.

The Police Department has received tips in recent days, but none of them have led to the 34-year-old Royer, Wilkinson said. He’s asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the department at 208-226-5922.

He’s also hoping that if Royer reads this article, that she will contact his office and let them know if she’s OK.

“Her family is extremely concerned,” Wilkinson said.

Royer is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs roughly 110 pounds. She has light skin, blond hair and blue eyes, according to the Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse. She also has a tattoo near her right ear and on her back and scars on her left forearm, neck and right ankle.

She may have traveled toward Idaho Falls, according to the Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse.

Royer is the mother of a 17-year-old girl and three boys, ages 12, 11 and 3. Family members in the area are currently caring for them.

Royer’s daughter, Tiara Grant, said she last saw her mother on the morning of Jan. 9. She said her mom was gone by the time she got back home from school, and she has no idea where she may have gone. She said nothing like this has ever happened before.

“I don’t know where she could be or who she could be with. I’m extremely worried about that,” Grant said. “I hope she is safe wherever she is.”

Grant describes her mother as a funny and happy person, who always helps pick up her spirits when she’s down.

“It’s extremely hard not having her around,” Grant said.

She’s hoping to find her mother soon.

“We all miss her very much and we’re extremely worried about her,” Grant said. “(I hope) she returns home safe as soon as possible.”
