MALAD — A Utah man was airlifted to a local hospital early Friday evening after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and crashed near Malad, Idaho State Police said.

The crash occurred at 6:08 p.m. on southbound Old Highway 191 near East 6700 South just south of Malad.

The 50-year-old man from Corinne, Utah, was riding a 2011 Harley-Davidson FLS when the motorcycle left the road and crashed in a nearby field. He was not wearing a helmet, state police said.

He was transported by emergency helicopter to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
