Highland High School in Pocatello was briefly evacuated Tuesday after a small fire broke out in a bathroom waste can before being quickly extinguished.

The Pocatello Fire Department responded to the scene. Students and staff were allowed to return to classrooms once the all clear was given. No injuries were reported.

Pocatello School District 25 thanked emergency personnel for their prompt response and students and staff for their cooperation.
