Snowy roads

POCATELLO — The National Weather Service has warned motorists to anticipate snowy and slushy road conditions throughout Eastern Idaho into early Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service's winter weather advisory will remain in effect through 4 a.m.

In the Pocatello, Chubbuck and Fort Hall area, the service advises snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with higher amounts likely on the benches, are possible.

The service advises travelers should be prepared for reduced visibility at times and that "snow is expected to continue through the evening as temperatures cool, allowing for accumulations to occur. This snow may persist for a few hours tonight before ending by early Saturday morning."
