Pocatello’s Sam Krieg placed first in his age group and 42nd overall at Sunday’s Bank of American Chicago Marathon.
The 41-year-old finished the 26.2 miles in 2 hours, 26 minutes, 40 seconds to lead the 40-44 age group. Krieg’s top sustained speed was 11.13 mph, and he closed the race at 10.73 mph.
Pocatello’s Quan Peng and Xiaohang Peng also competed. Quan Peng, 58, finished in 292nd in the 55-59 age group with a time of 4:59:32. Xiaohang Pang finished 365 in the 55-59 age group, in 4:06:48.
