Idaho State University track and field welcomes Hannah Bartz to the team for the 2017-18 season.

Bartz is currently a sophomore at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. She recently placed second in the long jump at the 2017 NJCAA Indoor National Championship.

“I am thrilled to have Hannah join our team,” said ISU assistant coach Yuriy Litvinski. “She comes to Idaho State with a strong foundation academically and athletically from a program with rich tradition in track and field. I am excited to begin working with Hannah and to help her continue her path to excellence.”

Bartz broke Pima’s 60-meter and 200-meter dash records during the indoor season and set a personal record in the long jump at 19 feet, 10 1/4 inches. Her jump would rank third on the Big Sky Conference performance list. The sophomore won the long jump title at the 2016 NJCAA Region I Championship.

Bartz comes to ISU with personal records of 7.73 seconds in the 60, 12.27 in the 100 and 25.09 in the 200.

“Hannah will be a key player for us in the long jump, triple jump, and short sprints,” Litvinski said. “She will have an immediate impact on the team. Hannah will have an opportunity to re-write our record books and create a legacy for herself. More importantly, she can help us continue building upon the legacy and tradition of Bengal track and field.”
