RED-ZONE SUCCESS

Montana and Idaho State enter Saturday's game as the top two Big Sky Conference teams in the red zone, scoring on a combined 40 of 41 trips inside the opponent's 20-yard line. Montana (22 for 22) is one of three FCS teams to score on every red-zone trip.

STRONG IN THE BACK

Montana safety Justin Strong nabbed three interceptions last week in the Griz's 45-33 win at Portland State, one of which was returned for a touchdown. Strong earned Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week honors, and was named the STATS and FCS National Defensive Player of the Week.

Strong made the plays with a clubbed left hand, which is wrapped to protect an injured thumb, according to 406mtsports.com.

SIBLING RIVALRY

Brothers Tucker and Jerry Louie-McGee will share the field Saturday. Tucker, an ISU safety, and Jerry, a Griz receiver and return specialist, faced off for the first time last season in Missoula.

This season, Jerry is Montana's second-leading receiver with 20 catches for 271 yards and two touchdowns, plus four rushes for 9 yards. Tucker, a former receiver who has converted to safety this season, has 13 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one interception.

SACK HAPPY

Montana is third in the Big Sky with 14 quarterback sacks, while ISU ranks last in the league with 17 sacks against. Bengals QBs were sacked 33 times last season, and ISU quarterback Tanner Gueller is on pace to get sacked 37 times this year.

JENKINS, MARTIN NEAR TOP OF FCS IN TACKLES

ISU linebackers Mario Jenkins and Joe Martin are fourth and 12th, respectively, in the FCS in tackles per game this season. Jenkins' 59 total tackles are second to only Elon's Warren Messer's 60.

Jenkins set a career high with 17 tackles against Nevada, and eclipsed that last week with 18 against Cal Poly. Joe Martin's career-best 20-tackle effort against Utah State is the second-best single-game tackle total in the FCS this season.

SERIES HISTORY

Montana owns a 44-13 all-time series edge, including a 15-10 mark in Pocatello. Idaho State's last win was a 43-40 double-overtime victory in homecoming in 2003. ISU is 2-29 against the Griz since 1985.
