A prison inmate walked away from the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center on Tuesday, becoming the fourth inmate to escape from an East Idaho correctional facility in recent weeks.

The Idaho Department of Correction is seeking Destiny Elizabeth Stoops, 21, who walked away from a community volunteering project around 1 p.m. Tuesday. She was last seen in the 800 block of South Second Avenue in Pocatello.

Stoops is described as a white female with green eyes and brown hair. She is 5-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 150 pounds and has a fair complexion, according to correction officials.

Stoops’ record includes convictions in Ada County for possession of a controlled substance, grand theft by possession and eluding a peace officer.

Stoops was eligible to be considered for parole on March 26, 2020. Her sentence was to have been completed on March 25, 2027.

Also still on the run from police is an offender who walked away from a work assignment along Highway 20 just north of Idaho Falls on July 21.

Randall Grant Brunette, Jr., 35, was reported as a walkaway just before 8 p.m.

Brunette is described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 195 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a light brown complexion, according to correction officials. He was housed at the Idaho Falls Community Reentry Center.

Brunette was sentenced Dec. 23, 2013, in Bannock County to a sentence of four to seven years for possession of a controlled substance.

Anyone with information about Stoops’ or Brunette’s whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency.

Another inmate spent about 26 hours on the run two weeks ago after she walked away from a work crew from the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center.

Before she was arrested around 4 p.m. July 21, Kirsten Walz, 39 was last seen at 2 p.m. July 20 on the northeast side of Pocatello. A correctional officer discovered her missing at about 2:20 p.m.

Walz, also known as Kristen Decker, was sentenced on April 20, 2015, in Canyon County to serve one to five years for possession and delivery of a controlled substance. On Dec. 16, 2016, in Ada County, Walz was sentenced to an additional one to five years for forgery. Walz was eligible to be considered for parole in September of this year.

And the first week of June, Brandon Garner, 36 of Idaho Falls, spent three days avoiding arrest after he failed to return to the work release unit at the Bonneville County jail.

Garner was incarcerated in the Bonneville County jail on felony probation violations. He failed to report back to the work release unit on June 8 and was captured at about noon on June 11.

Garner was taken into custody by the Idaho Falls Police Department. He was located at a hotel in Idaho Falls, but authorities did not identify which hotel.
