Last weekend, tens of thousands of Republicans came together to select Idaho’s choice for the next President of the United States. Donald Trump overwhelmingly won the Idaho Republican Presidential Caucus, taking approximately 85% of the vote. The voice of the people was heard loud and clear: Idaho is Trump country!
In fact, I can safely say that America supports Trump as well, as his crushing victory on Super Tuesday this week showed. With Nikki Haley dropping out on Wednesday, it’s time for Republicans to unite behind Donald Trump against Joe Biden, maybe the worst president in American history. We have had some strong debates within the Republican Party, but now it’s time to work together to save our state and our country.
Idahoans know that our nation is at a critical juncture. We conducted an informal straw poll to learn what is most important to Idaho Republicans as we approach the most important presidential election in our lifetimes, maybe ever. The results show a clear set of priorities.
Illegal immigration and the border crisis are by far the foremost concerns for Republican voters, a trend we see replicated across the nation. Idahoans are worried about the influx of drugs and criminals into our communities and the way in which the Biden Administration has facilitated this crisis rather than enforce our laws.
Other looming concerns for voters were the economy, jobs, taxes, and inflation. No matter how the federal government massages the numbers, Idahoans know that groceries are more expensive than ever while wages have been stagnant.
Another big issue for Idaho Republicans is the Second Amendment. Republicans recognize that the Second Amendment protects the First as well as all the other liberties that are guaranteed by the Constitution. The right to self defense was paramount to our Founders, not only against lawless criminals but against tyrannical governments as well. The Idahoans who took part in our poll recognize the need to safeguard individual liberties, starting with the Second Amendment.
Interestingly, when asked about their voting intentions, the majority of respondents — 67% — strongly preferred to cast their ballots in person on Election Day. 16% indicated their intention to vote in-person early, while 13% plan to vote absentee. This distribution underscores the enduring commitment of Idahoans to exercise their civic duty and actively participate in the process, ensuring their voices are heard loud and clear on Election Day.
This straw poll shows that Idahoans are suffering under the leadership of President Biden and are hungry for change. Idaho is a bastion of conservative Republican values, and Idahoans want to keep it that way. I believe that Idaho stands ready to lead the restoration our great nation so desperately needs, a restoration based on the timeless values of faith, family, and freedom.

Unfortunately you do not know your American history. The American seel out if the American worker started with Ronald Reagan. He undermined unions and outlawed strikes. The railroad left Pocatello and moved to North Platte Nebraska. But it was technology that caused most of that. it was the aftermath of the end of the Steam locomotive era. true the steel industry moved to china simply because they could produce it cheaper. Japan, Mexico and Germany are really satellite nations of the U.S. they make cares and the U.S. buys them. Auto prices right now are big causes of inflation. High housing costs are the result of the republican Congress vetoing public housing building. Low income public housing doesn't exist. But who cares?? Right Old Crow?? What is going on in America today really doen't have a lot to do with the Executive Branch. it has more to do with State Government. And it is becoming more so again. Everything west of the Mississppi is predominately agricultural and low population density. It is traditionally conservative. conservatives don't like change. Horse and buggy and church on Sunday makes the world go round. They are all for King and Country and hero worship and the myth of John Wayne. they still believe in nursery rhymes and movies and the idea that America is the center of the Universe and anti human rights. it is all about my rights and who cares about the other guy.
Now I will say this you need to put aside the chicken and egg war between Arimo and Downey that went on when Eisenhower got elected. The rage was the white Ford Sedan and everybody in the egg market wanted a 1952 white Ford Sedan. These were prosperous times for the auto business and chickens were at a premium. They tell me the Downey egg market went as far South as Ogden and was filling orders for three grocery stores and couldn't keep it up. Those egg sellers said it was the republicans that boosted the market and didn't have anything to do with fresh eggs really. So it goes. Politics take hold like that. Trump lost the election in 2020 for many reasons. 1) and most important the debates revealed him to be again an obnoxious loud mouth braggart and ill mannered blow hard. Many people saw him for the obnoxious clown he really is.

Truman was the first to initiate Civil Rights legislation and a minimum wage. Trump is on a dead end glory train and he will only take America back into the chaos and violence that was so much a part of his administration. Biden will win because he is a better leader. He doesn't start trade wars. He doesn't take sides on Kopernick issues. He doesn't cause people to commit violent acts as during the Trump dictatorship. He doesn't side with the KKK and the Proud Boys. He doesn't orchestrate attacks against the capital by summoning a mob to overturn the election by violence. Voter turnout for Trump is going to be low. He doen't negate 2 trillion dollars in rich people's tax breaks of which Trump himself benefited the most with his sucking baloney about donating his salary which in itself was just another tax deduction.

Less than 4 percent of registered Idaho caucus voters cast their vote for Trump. Less than 7 percent of registered Idaho Republicans cast their caucus vote for Trump.
