We are saddened to report the passing of our newest K9 Deputy Drax.

Drax and his handler Dep. J. Judy had been partners for almost 3 months, recently returning from training and ready to hit the streets.

Drax fell ill on Friday and was taken to a vet clinic in Boise where he passed away earlier today from an unforeseen medical issue.

Deputies and Officers from around the area helped escort Drax to Idaho Falls this afternoon to a waiting crowd of BCSO families and area Law enforcement in a show of support.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support for Dep. Judy and our K9 teams. A task that injects K9’s like Drax into their family and work life that quickly bonds with everyone, and deeply hurts when one is lost.
