Idaho State University men’s basketball team takes on Sacramento State this Thursday at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym, followed by a Saturday game at 6 p.m. against Portland State University. “The Marvels” is the weekend feature at the Bengal Theater in the Pond Student Union, with shows Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., along with a Saturday matinee at 4 p.m. also. Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences see her shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with two other superheroes to form the Marvels, who must overcome a new nemesis. ISU Theatre presents “The Twits” this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Roald Dahl’s beloved story is featured in a hilarious and heartwarming adaptation by Enda Walsh at the Bistline Theatre in the Stephens Performing Arts Center. This family-friendly production follows the disgusting and devious Twits as they plot their next cruel prank, only to be foiled by a group of brave monkeys. The ISU Jazz Fest is this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. The audience will be captivated by the compelling performances of the ISU Big Band and the Marina Albero Trio. Tickets for this event run $10 for the public, $7 for ISU faculty/staff, $5 for pre-college age students or free with local school ID, and free for ISU students with valid Bengal ID. Tickets will be available the night of the show at the Stephen’s Performing Arts Center box office.

Sundance Festival winner “The Persian Version” plays Sunday at 1:30 and 4 p.m. in the Bengal Theater. Note, there will be no 7 p.m. show due to it being Super Bowl Sunday.
