IDAHO FALLS — Emergency responders are searching for a man who fell into the Snake River on Sunday afternoon near the Broadway Bridge in Idaho Falls.

The incident was reported at 2:25 p.m. after the man fell into the river from the west bank just upstream from the bridge, the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office reported.

The man's name has not been released but authorities said he was visiting Idaho Falls from out of state.

Idaho Falls police and fire units as well as the Sheriff's Office Dive Team are currently searching the river for the man.

Motorists should expect delays if driving through the area because of the numerous emergency vehicles on the scene.

As of 4:30 p.m. Sunday the man had still not been found.
