Sid and Marilyn (Hulet) Allen recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a family party hosted by their three children and their spouses and their six grandchildren.
The couple was married in June 22, 1968, in American Falls, Idaho. This love story had its beginnings in childhood and continues to grow and evolve every day.
Sid and Marilyn both graduated from American Falls High School. Sid attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, before joining the family farm full time. He had been working on the farm since he was 6 years old. Marilyn always wanted to be a wife, mother and grandmother, and Sid made all her dreams come true.
They own and operate Allen Farms with their children: Kristin and Bruce Winder and Macy; Sean and Katina Allen, Jadon, Bryson, and Carlson; and Dustin and Honi Allen, Shanice, and Aunnika. They have worked very hard to make their farm a success and continue to raise wheat, potatoes and sugar beets.
They are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in American Falls, where Sid has served on the church council and Marilyn is involved in the music ministry.
They are very proud of their family, and their greatest joy is still spending time together.
