POCATELLO — After the Labor Day holiday, card play resumed on Sept. 10 at the Little Slam Club. Lucy Bonman and Paul Allen took first place in the A and B groups. Doris Brydon and Shiela Mathiesen were second in A, while Barb Bain and Janice Matteson-Howell finished second in B.

At the unit game on Sept. 17, Joy Burke and Jack Triplett easily outdistanced the rest with a 64%, notching a first in A. Doris Brydon teamed up with Jan Greene to grab second in A and first in B and C. Rounding out the winners were Mardy Little and Steve Smith, third in A and second in B and C.

On Sept. 24, in another unit game, Dick Anderson and Shiela Mathieseon narrowly captured first in A and B, beating Barb Bain and Janice Matteson-Howell, second in A and B, and first in C. Ann Bryan and Doris Brydon were third in A.

Little Slam Bridge Club plays weekly on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at Quail Ridge, 797 Hospital Way. Gate City Bridge club holds sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons at 1 p.m.
