POCATELLO — Quilters from across Idaho, Utah and Wyoming will descend on the Mountain View Event Center in Pocatello to attend the Portneuf Valley Quilt Guild’s (PVQG) biennial Quilt Show.
“The Quilter’s Harvest” will be held on Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5.
The Mountain View Event Center, 1567 Way to Grace Way, will allow for a spectacular display of handmade quilts. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy quilts that are hand quilted and machine quilted in addition to art quilts, wool quilts, wearable art, miniature quilts, and even a category for youth quilts.
The PVQG will be selling a raffle quilt at the show which is a stunning display of quilting talent. Raffle tickets are available at the door or from members of the guild for $1 each or 6 for $5. The winning ticket will be drawn at 3 p.m. Saturday.
There will be many opportunities for attendees to shop at the show, includes a variety of vendors, a boutique consisting of many handmade donated items, and a silent auction. Throughout the two days there will be exciting door prizes frequently awarded to guests. Upon admission to the show guests will receive a ticket to be eligible for door prizes as well as the opportunity to vote on their favorite quilts. Bring the flyer received in the mail to receive an extra raffle ticket.
