POCATELLO — The Pocatello Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People invites the community to join its annual celebration to honor Martin Luther King on Jan. 18.

This year’s celebration will be a brunch and will take place in the Rendezvous Suite on the Idaho State University campus. The program will start at 10:30 a.m. and will include a buffet brunch menu; reading of a joint proclamation from the cities of Pocatello and Chubbuck; guest speaker Elmer Martinez, former member of the Idaho House of Representatives and community human rights activist; announcements of activities for the MLK holiday; and reflections on King’s legacy.

Tickets for the brunch are $25 and $15 for youth 14 and under.

There is limited seating, so please purchase tickets and make reservations in advance.
