Joy Burke and Shiela Mathiesen had a top score of 75 percent on Oct. 3, which is worthy of mention in the national ACBL magazine. Congratulations. They took first in A and were followed by Doris Brydon and John Waldal, second in A and first in B. Third in A and second in B went to Steve Smith and Mardy Little. Jack Triplett and Duane Murphy were fourth in A. Cathy and Larry Kratz were third in B. Peggy Vogt and Neila Loebs round out the winners with a first in C.

Mardy Little and Steve Smith rose to the top with firsts in A and B on Oct. 10. Lucy Bonman and Paul Allen grabbed second in A and B, and first in C, followed by Jay Norris and Paul Norris, visitors from England, who were third in A. Ann Bryan and Angela Butterfield placed fourth in A.

First in A, B and C went to Lucy Bonman and Paul Allen on the third Tuesday of the month. They were trailed by Ann Bryan and Kathy Thomas, second in A and B, and Jack Triplett and Joy Burke, third in A.

On a well-attended evening, Doris Brydon and Shiela Mathiesen took first in A and B, Oct. 24. Jan Green and Willis Norton were runners-up, second in A and B and first in C, followed by Joy Burke and Joan Beall, third in A. Richard and Ann Munoz placed fourth in A and third in B. The team of Neila Loebs and Peggy Vogt took fourth in B and second in C.

Doris Brydon and Joy Burke paired up on Halloween to easily take first in A. Tied for second in A and first in B were Duane Murphy and Barb Bain, and the team of Paul Allen and Lucy Bonman, who were also first in C. The final winners of the month were Ann Bryan and Cathy Kratz, fourth in A and third in B.
