BLACKFOOT — Tim and Brinna Caudle held a grand opening Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, for their Sweet B’s Bakery at 1355 Parkway Drive in the old Homestead restaurant.

“We were busy and did well. We sold out of pastries both days,” Tim Caudle said. “Cinnamon rolls were a big hit. We made 72 cinnamon rolls on Friday, and on Saturday, we made 100. They sold out by 10:30 both days.”

“The response from the community has been awesome,” Brinna Caudle said.

The bakery has been selling out of cinnamon rolls and pastries since opening its doors July 4.

Sweet B’s has a variety of pastries, from raspberry cream-filled croissants to custard buns. The bakery also offers cookies at $2, cinnamon rolls for $3 and cheesecake by the slice, as well as a variety of homemade bread. It has a variety of sandwiches made with bread baked fresh every morning.

“Everything is made from scratch,” Brinna said. “I will do special orders, but I need advance notice. Because everything is made from scratch, it is more time-consuming.”

The Caudles embarked on this new journey more than a year ago when Dr. Wray purchased the old Homestead building after the restaurant closed, and he offered the couple the space to rent.

“We want to acknowledge Dr. Wray and how deeply grateful we are for renting the space adjacent to his clinic,” according to Sweet B’s Bakery’s Facebook page.

The couple has wanted to open a bakery for years, and Brinna has been selling baked goods out of their home for many of those years. Brinna has spent many years honing her recipes and building her clientele.

“This is something we always talked about over many years. I have always baked and love baking,” Brinna said. “I would make stuff for people, and they always said I needed to open a bakery. The feedback gave me the confidence I needed and grew my clientele.”

She added, “Then I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, and that changed my whole perspective. Life is too short. I think it is scarier to live with regret than not trying or trying something that fails. The regret is worse.”

The couple is excited to introduce the community to their unique pastries, breads and, of course, cinnamon rolls, all made completely from scratch.

The bakery will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you want a cinnamon roll, you must get there early.
