IDAHO FALLS — The Freedom 250 Mobile Museum will visit Idaho Falls on Aug. 8–10 offering a free, family-friendly look at America’s founding and 250 years of U.S. history.

The traveling interactive museum from Washington, D.C., will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Bonneville County Fairgrounds at 1542 E. 73rd S.

“This is a meaningful opportunity for our community to remember the people, principles and sacrifices that helped forge the nation we call home,” said Susan Stucki, America250 in Idaho service ambassador and Idaho Falls JustServe specialist. “We invite everyone to come experience the story of America in an engaging, family-friendly way.”

Inside the 80-foot mobile museum, guests can explore immersive exhibits, authentic artifacts and interactive technology, including digital stations to virtually sign the Declaration of Independence, a tribute wall honoring 50 American heroes and more, bringing the founding era to life.

The museum is a high-tech traveling exhibition housed in a fleet of six custom-built 18-wheelers, officially known as “Freedom Trucks.” Launched early this year to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, this free-admission, $14 million taxpayer-funded initiative is currently touring the lower 48 states through 2026 and into 2027.

The Daughters of the American Revolution will offer children’s Revolutionary Era activities on Saturday, Aug. 8. Patriot Spuddy Buddies will also be available for photos.
