The Idaho State women’s basketball team saw the exit of two assistant coaches who announced their decisions to accept new coaching jobs this month.

Bryanna Mueller posted on Twitter on May 16 that she is joining the St. Bonaventure women’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant after serving the same role at ISU for three seasons.

“Excited for this new opportunity,” Mueller tweeted. “Thank you (Idaho State women’s basketball) for 3 great years, thank you Pocatello community for your incredible support, and thank you players for more than you know.”

‏D’Shara Strange, a one-year ISU assistant, announced Tuesday that she was hired as the director of operations for the Fresno State women’s basketball team.

“Thank you (Idaho State women’s basketball) for an incredible year of growth! Idaho State and Pocatello gave me the opportunity to work with incredible Student-Athletes and a powerhouse community,” Strange tweeted. “Extremely humbled and excited for this new opportunity and chapter with Fresno State.”

‏Bengals associate head coach Ryan Johnson remains on the coaching staff, according to ISU. The five-year Bengals coach is the lone assistant coach remaining from last season’s coaching staff.

The Bengals are amid the hiring process to replace Mueller and Strange.

Mueller’s role with ISU included coaching guards, recruiting and scouting, according to her ISU bio. Strange was the camp and clinic director, organized practice schedules, led the team’s travel and equipment management and recruited, on top of coaching for the Bengals, according to Fresno State’s press release.
