By early next month, Idaho State football fans will get all the details about what the roster is going to look like once spring football arrives.

ISU head coach Cody Hawkins is ready to fill you in. Beginning Feb. 2 in Eagle, continuing Feb. 3 in Idaho Falls and wrapping up Feb. 4 in Pocatello, Hawkins and ISU Athletic Director Pauline Thiros will meet with Bengal fans around southern Idaho to update them on the status of the program.

They’ll discuss the 18 high school recruits the Bengals signed in December, the junior college and Division II players who committed in December and any transfers who join the program during the current Division I transfer portal period.

The first stop will be at the Crave Kitchen and Bar, 165 E. Colchester Dr., in Eagle, at noon on Feb. 2.

That will be followed by a gathering at Watkins Distributing, 5999 S. Doug Andrus Dr., Idaho Falls, at noon on Feb. 3.

The final conclave will be at 6 p.m. at the ICCU Bengal Alumni Center, 1601 Bonneville Dr., in Pocatello on Feb. 4.

Complimentary entry will be available for select ISU athletics supporters, who will receive additional details and a special registration code by email. All other guests will be asked to make a $10 donation to the Quarterback Club in support of ISU football.

The Bengals are coming off a successful 6-6 season, including a 5-3 mark that tied them for fourth in the Big Sky Conference. Hawkins, who has improved the Bengal record in each of his three seasons at the helm, will talk about all the ISU high school recruits and show video highlights of the new Bengals.

He’ll also discuss the roster additions that have come by way of transfer from junior colleges and four-year schools. As of Monday, Jan. 5, ISU has confirmed seven junior college and Division II transfers, and the Bengals will be looking to add to their roster during the Division I portal period.

Hawkins will also give those attending a preview of the second high school signing period, which begins Feb. 4.

Thiros will give attendees an update on the entire athletic program, including developments with new facilities, the launching of the Student Athlete Success Fund, which will allow ISU to compensate select athletes directly for participation, and other noteworthy items. This marks the fourth year that Hawkins and Thiros have toured the state to update Bengal fans on the program.
