Mountain biking enthusiasts have a new reason to hit the trails as Ridge to Rivers and the City of Boise announced the official opening on June 27 of the Sideshow Trail in the Boise Foothills.
Designed exclusively for downhill mountain biking, the Sideshow Trail starts at Corrals Trail and winds down to the 8th Street Connection, offering a fresh ride above Hulls Gulch Reserve. Trail users can view the route on the Ridge to Rivers interactive map at the website listed below.
The City of Boise funded the construction, which is now complete. However, officials note that the lower portion of the trail remains soft and may present variable conditions as the path settles over time.
To ensure safety, the trail is closed to pedestrians, horseback riders, e-bikes, and dogs. It will also close each winter to preserve the trail surface.
