Nothing's ever stable
We're always in transition,
Constant changes every day
Grabbing our attention.Â
We seek pleasure, praise, and gain;
Shun disgrace, loss, and pain.Â
One day might be very happy.Â
Just let it flow right through.
The next could be something sad.Â
Let it flow through, too.Â
So don't grasp for pleasure,Â
And don't run from pain.Â
For more calm and peaceful your life will be
If accepting all with equanimity.Â
