INKOM — A pilot and passenger escaped injury Saturday night when their small plane made an emergency landing in a farm field south of Inkom.
The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. near Marsh Creek Road when the plane touched down after reportedly suffering engine problems, authorities said.
Neither the pilot nor the passenger was injured. Their names and the type of aircraft have not been released.
Bannock County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. The extent of damage to the plane has not been disclosed.
The crash landing will likely be investigated by federal authorities.
