Elderly Man Crashes into Lava Hot Springs Home

The damaged garage of a home in Lava Hot Springs after an elderly man crashed his car into it on Thursday.

LAVA HOT SPRINGS — A car crashed into a house in this Bannock County resort town.

The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. Thursday and did not result in any injuries, authorities said.

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office reported that the car was being driven by an elderly man and the house he crashed into is on 4th Avenue West. The car struck the garage portion of the home, causing noticeable damage.

Multiple emergency units responded to the incident.

Authorities have not yet released additional details such as the name of the elderly driver or whether he’ll be charged with a crime.
