HEYBURN — A 20-year-old Rupert man died Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with a car on State Highway 24 just north of Heyburn.
The crash occurred around 5:40 p.m. when a Toyota Camry driven by a 22-year-old Rock Springs, Wyoming, man attempted to turn west onto the highway from West 200 South, Idaho State Police said.
The Camry was struck by the eastbound Kawasaki motorcycle, state police said.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene. His name has not been released.
The Camry had one passenger, a 49-year-old man also from Rock Springs. Both occupants of the car were wearing seat belts and did not require hospitalization, state police said.
The crash resulted in partial road blockage for approximately two hours.
Idaho State Police continue to investigate the crash.
