The Idaho State track and field team competed Friday at the MSU Dual Invite where the Bengal men won two titles and the women claimed one more.

Men's Team

On the men's side, ISU Junior Cory Mullanix finished first in the 60m with a time of 6.99 seconds. Sophomore Tanner Conner won his second consecutive 60m hurdle race with a season-best time of 8.33 seconds.

"Tanner had a better start today, which helped his time," Bengals head coach Hillary Merkley said. "He's a tough competitor and is resilient when faced with adversity. He overcame some big things this week."

Junior James Rodeman finished fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.62 and also finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 14'1.25."

Freshman Alec Richardson had a second-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 22'3", while junior Fondereaux Wilson took second in the triple jump with a leap of 43'8.5."

In the weight throw, junior Trevor Jensen finished second with a heave of 58'1." Senior Christian Brininger finished third with a throw of 58'0.25." ISU sophomore Leo Finsterbusch finished seventh in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 50'8.5".

Women's Team

Junior Hannah Bartz finished third in the long jump with a distance of 17'11.75." Bartz also finished third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.84 seconds and fifth in the 200m with a time of 26.19 seconds, both season-best times.

"Hannah had a good day and she has a great day coming," Merkley said. "She has some little adjustments to make and it's going to be worth watching. She has come in and made an impact on our team immediately."

Sophomore Madison Cicierski won the weight throw with a personal-best distance of 56'10.75." This mark moves her up the ISU all-time list to third. Junior Taylor Clark finished fourth in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 53'9.75." Clark's throw put her eighth all-time at ISU. Sophomore Kylie Greenwall also had a personal-best throw with a distance of 51'3".

In the pole vault, freshman Jessica Swannack took second with a vault of 12'0", while fellow freshman Sierra Kiser took seventh with a height of 11'0.25."

Freshman Louisa Stropel finished third in the triple jump with a personal-best jump of 36'11.5" with freshman Brianna Vanvleet taking fourth in the long jump with a distance of 17'9", also a personal best.

The Bengals travel to Weber State next week before returning home to host the Mountain State Games inside Holt Arena on Feb. 2-3.
