A new list out from Go All Outdoors, a nature and outdoor-focused website, has Idaho ranked No. 4 on its list of best states for winter activities.Â
The ranking was decided based on climate data and public land availability as the site operators say those "usually lead to more opportunity and more fun."
Wyoming came in first, with the authors explaining that it is no coincidence that their top pick also happens to be one of the states with the highest acreage of public land. Utah and Colorado ranked second and third respectively.
When explaining Idaho's high ranking, the authors cite Idaho's vast amount skiiable terrain — 18 million acres of it, they say. If skiing isn't your thing, not to worry. They also mention that our hot springs are also among our top selling points.
