BLACKFOOT — Two local men are dead after a late Friday night wreck on Highway 91 just north of Blackfoot.

Idaho State Police identified the deceased as Andrew Ramsey, 22, of Idaho Falls, and Eric Dana, 26, of Ammon.

The crash occurred around 11:10 p.m. Friday when a 2010 Subaru Impreza driven by Ramsey left the roadway and struck a power pole while traveling northbound on Highway 91 near E 350 N. 

Neither Ramsey nor Dana was wearing a seat belt and Ramsey was ejected from the car upon impact, state police said.

Both men succumbed to their injuries at the scene, authorities said.

The crash shut down Highway 91 for over three hours.

The accident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
