POCATELLO — A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after colliding with a pickup truck at a busy north Pocatello intersection on Wednesday evening.

The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. at Philbin Road and Highway 30.

Authorities expect the intersection to remain shut down for at least the next few hours because of the crash.

The injured adult male motorcyclist was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center following the collision.

His name and condition have not been released.

Pocatello and Chubbuck police and Bannock County Search and Rescue also responded to the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by Pocatello police who are expected to release additional information soon.
