FORT HALL — The Fort Hall Fire Department is investigating two suspicious fires that were reported on the reservation on Sunday and Monday, according to a news release from the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

The first fire involved a residential home on Sage Road and was reported at 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters battled the blaze for about three hours, clearing the scene around 11:20 p.m., the Tribes said.

There were no injuries as a result of the blaze but the home is considered a total loss, according to the news release.

Fort Hall firefighters were also dispatched to a blaze on Diggie Road around 4 a.m. on Monday that involved two RVs, the Tribes said.

“Upon arrival, one RV was completely destroyed and the second RV was heavily engulfed in flames,” the Tribes said in the news release.

Nobody was injured in this blaze as well but both RVs were declared total losses, said the Tribes, adding that firefighters battled the RV fires until about 5:35 a.m.

Both fires on Sage Road and Diggie Road are suspicious in nature, according to Fort Hall Fire Chief Eric King.
