The warm weather makes me think of tropical places and leisurely vacations, and with my tequila mangos you can have the feeling of both right at home. This “adult” treat is sweet, tasty and so easy to make.

The most difficult part is getting the mango peeled and cut into chunks. I use a mango cutter and it makes the process much simpler. The combination of tropical fruit and tequila is delicious and this dish is a great appetizer for deck parties or barbecues.

Everyone loves it, just make sure your guests are aware of your spiked treat before serving.

Belle’s Tequila Mangos

1 ripe mango, peeled and cubed

½ cup tequila

Powdered sugar

Using a mango cutter works easiest if you have one, otherwise peel and cut the mango into 1-2 inch chunks. Place the mango onto a shallow rimmed plate or bowl in an even layer. Pour the tequila over top and then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill for at least an hour. Remove from the fridge and uncover. Dust the mangos with a liberal amount of powdered sugar. Use toothpicks to serve as an appetizer.
