POCATELLO — The Idaho Period Positivity Coalition provides a strategy to address and promote legislation for providing menstrual supplies in all sixth- through 12th-grade female and unisex bathrooms in the state of Idaho. Girls in school whose period starts early or can't afford appropriate menstrual pads or tampons can feel stressed and panicked. Unless they can hurriedly borrow from a friend or stranger, they must go to the school nurse or counselors for products. Surveys show that 70% of Idaho sixth- through 12th-grade girls had missed significant class time due to insufficient period product access. Idaho education funding does not provide these products.

Pocatello Centennial Rotary Club purchased and donated 4,500 wrapped tampons and 14,580 wrapped maxipads that are distributed in Pocatello-Chubbuck School District 25 girls’ restrooms and counselor offices.
