Join us for the April First Friday Art Walk on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. First Friday Art Walk features art, music, food, fashion and more in over 20 Downtown shops and restaurants. Admission and parking for this event are free. This month’s event guide listing participating locations will appear in the Friday Idaho State Journal and on our website, www.historicdowntownpocatello.com.

The Valentine Ballroom and Bridal, 100 S. Arthur Ave., is hosting a Bridal Gala on Saturday! They will be debuting the Fall Barbie Anne Bridal and The Bridal Modest and Classic Collections. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased via Venmo to @candace-sandy. There will be a variety of vendors, a mocktail hour from 12-1:00 p.m. and a fashion show at 1:00 p.m. Seating is limited so purchase your tickets now.

Brick 243 Gastropub, 243 W. Center St., will be hosting its Italian Night on Wednesday. This week they will be featuring Italian pastas, soups, sandwiches and desserts. There are two seatings available, at 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Reserve your table now by texting 208-380-1072.

Purpose Tea, 224 N. Main St., is featuring their Caramel Milk Tea with a brown sugar drizzle this week. Lunch includes their delicious mac & cheese, chili, or chili mac & cheese. Cookies and sweet treats are also available along with a selection of teas and gift items.

Reflections Boutique, 435 W. Center St., is welcoming spring and invites its customers to come and see our new spring 2024 collections! They have new dresses, tops, pants, jewelry, gifts, and so much more! They are open Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main St., has announced its new Creative Visions Art Show. This exhibition is a celebration of abstract and creative visions. Their talented artists have poured their hearts and souls into their unique artworks, creating mesmerizing blends of colors, shapes, and emotions. The show will be on display from March 26 through May 7. Stop in to view the show on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 1-5:00 p.m.

“Silent Sky” by Lauren Gunderson opens on Friday at Westside Players. Set at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s, this true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries. “The Book of Liz,” at the Old Town Actors Studio continues performances this weekend. Don’t miss out on the misadventures of Sister Elizabeth Donderstrock. She has left her quaint Squeamish community making cheeseballs and finds herself finding her true voice and fabulous friends along the way. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 5, 6, 8, 12 and 13. Tickets are available now at www.oldtownactorsstudio.net This performance is for mature audiences.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will open for the 2024 Season on Saturday, May 4, at 9:00 a.m. They currently have vendor space available for new gardeners and farmers. Approved as well as interested new vendors are invited to their Spring Vendor Meeting on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at The Downtown Center at Lookout Point, 435 W. Center St.

Summer is right around the corner and now is the time to start your seeds! Caribou Jack’s, 120 N. Arthur Ave., has everything you need to get ready for spring including potting soil, seeds, growing containers and more! They are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Union Taproom’s famous Union Burgers are only $5.00 each and every Monday! Stop by on Mondays between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and get yourself a 1/3-pound burger on a pretzel bun with all the fixings! Experience wines from around the world every Tuesday in the Y Lounge of the Yellowstone Restaurant, 200 W. Bonneville. Wine tasting runs from 5- 7:00 p.m. every Tuesday.

Open Mic Jam Session happens every Thursday at Station Square. The evening starts at 7:00 p.m. Join in on a fun evening with an open mic for poetry, stories, and of course music. Bring a friend and bring an instrument. If you’re hungry, Grandma’s Pantry “The Little Nook” will be open serving delicious menu items.

Opening day for the Pocatello Food Truck Round-Up at Lookout Point will be Monday, April 8 at 4:00 p.m. New and returning trucks will be serving from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Monday through September.
