The Big Sky Conference continued its preseason kickoff gathering in Spokane, Washington.

One of the last items on the agenda was the preseason all-conference team voted on by media members.

Idaho State had three players make the cut: offensive lineman Stryker Rashid, linebacker Nathan Reynolds and safety Mason Young.

Overall, 39 players were named to the squad. UC Davis led the way with seven selections. Montana State, the preseason pick to win the league again, had six, and Montana added five players.

At the other end of the spectrum, Northern Colorado had one player make the team, and Sacramento State, which is leaving the league at the end of the year, was shut out. Part of the reason for the Hornets’ lack of representation is because they went all-out in the transfer portal, and a majority of their team is simply unknown at this point.

Pocatello is also represented by Montana State offensive lineman Titan Fleischmann, who played his high school ball at nearby Century. He is the son of Century head coach Ryan Fleischmann. His mother is Meg Salness Fleischmann, who played basketball at Idaho State and was the Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year for the 1993-94 season.

**Stryker Rashid**

Rashid joined the Bengals in 2024 as a transfer from Utah Tech. He played multiple positions last year, appearing in 11 games. Rashid made the All-Big Sky Conference second team that season. He is the first Bengal offensive lineman to receive a postseason award since the 2020 season.

**Nathan Reynolds**

In 2024, Reynolds appeared and started in all 12 games for the Bengals as the leader of the linebacking corps. Reynolds led the Bengal defense with 92 total tackles, 48 tackle assists and 44 unassisted tackles. He had 2.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. In the Bengals’ walk-off win over Cal Poly, Reynolds had a career-best 14 total tackles against the Mustangs. Reynolds finished the season with the ninth-most tackles in the Big Sky Conference.

**Mason Young**

Young stepped up in the 2024 season, playing in all 12 games for the Bengals. He had the second-most tackles on the team with 77 total, 46 unassisted and 31 tackle assists. He had 2.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. In the Bengals’ overtime win over Sacramento State, Young had a career-high 11 tackles.
